On Thursday, the Tennessee Titans made a shocking decision, trading star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears for significant draft capital.
While this news has sent shockwaves through the fanbase and likely into the locker room, it was a smart decision for general manager Mike Borgonzi, who needs to add more talent to a roster in a bad way.
One thing that has flown under the radar in all of the talk about the deal is how the Titans’ opponents, specifically this week's opponent, Ted Karras of the Cincinnati Bengals, feel about the news. And Karras gave an honest response when asked.

“Well, two hours of anxiety last night is gone,” he said.
Karras added that, regardless of what many believe or say, the Titans still have talent up front that can make an impact. Specifically pointing to John Franklin-Myers, who can move back to his regular position.
Franklin-Myers is a solid player, but he is not Simmons, and there is no doubt Joe Burrow and the Bengals are smiling heading into the weekend.
