As the Tennessee Titans are gearing up to face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, third-year right tackle J.C. Latham is doing something amazing behind the scenes. Earlier this month, it was announced that Latham was selected as the Youth Football Program ambassador for the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl.
“We are honored to welcome Titans tackle and former Alabama star, JC Latham, as he pursues this inspirational work pouring into youth football players,” said Scott Ramsey, president and CEO of the Music City Bowl. “Latham’s dedication to strength and excellence on and off the field aligns perfectly with the Youth Football Program’s work in the community, and we are thrilled to kick off this partnership together.”
The Youth Football Program was
founded in 2003, and since then, the program has supported more than 50 leagues across the region and donated over $250,000 toward youth football initiatives. Through this initiative, local leagues receive thousands of dollars in donations to support vital operational needs — from purchasing and repairing equipment, to providing new uniforms, maintaining facilities, and covering game official costs. These contributions also help launch new programs each year, ensuring young athletes enjoy a safe, well-rounded, and enriching sports experience.
As the Ambassador, Latham will visit local youth football teams across Tennessee, promote the sport and inspire young athletes, support over 20,000 young athletes in 19 leagues and 407 teams this year, and help fund equipment, uniforms, facilities, and other program needs (approx. $40,000 in donations and 25,000 mouthguards.
"I am honored to serve as this year’s Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl Youth Football Program Ambassador,” said Latham. “Youth football played such a crucial role in my journey, helping shape me not only as a football player but also as a person. I’m excited for the opportunity to give back to the game that has given me so much and to pour my energy and passion into inspiring and supporting the next generation of student-athletes.”
This isn't the first time Latham has given back since joining the Titans in 2024; he’s also taken part in providing holiday meals to families during Thanksgiving, taken part in celebrity baseball games, and has placed a strong emphasis on youth football because of how it helped shape him as a person and a player.
The Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl is played annually on December 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, and is known to bring life to the city during a time when business can be slow. Since its inception in 1998, the bowl has improved Nashville, and as it continues to grow, so does its Youth Football Program. This year, the program will support over 20,000 participants across 19 active leagues, totaling 407 youth teams, and will include an estimated $40,000 in donations and 25,000 mouthguards.
