It’s hard to believe that the Tennessee Titans will be on the field this week, and the 2026 season will finally be underway.
General manager Mike Borgonzi has done a masterful job at remaking the Titans roster over the offseason, and now new head coach Robert Saleh will have a chance to build them back into contenders. The big question is: Are they done adding competition to the roster?
A man named Cameron from Kentucky asked Jim Wyatt a solid question about possible additions in his weekly mailbag, and the answer was interesting.
Question: Hey Jim, do you think the Titans will add a veteran to the team heading to training camp?
Jim: Yes, at several positions along the way.
The Titans have already been active, adding defensive back Nazeeh Johnson
and offensive tackle Zachary Thomas since rookies reported to the team facility on Thursday; moves that coincided with the team placing JC Latham and Amani Hooker on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Taking Wyatt at his word, who else could be on the Titans' radar?
Looking at the players still available, two names come to mind: defensive backs Ifeatu Melifonwu and Kenny Moore. Tennessee has added some new faces to the secondary, but would definitely have room for some more competition and depth. While both of those players have different skill sets, they both have the ability to fill a role heading into the season.
