In March, the Tennessee Titans parted ways with cornerback L’Jarius Sneed after two miserable and costly seasons in Nashville.
To say that Sneed was a major bust would be an understatement. Tennessee made a big splash trading for L’Jarius Sneed ahead of the 2024 NFL season, but unfortunately, the move backfired, with Sneed seeing action in only 12 games over two seasons and spending more time on injured reserve than on any portion of the field.
Now, after his release, Sneed has returned to health and to Kansas City, where head coach Andy Reid is singing his praises in Sneed’s second go-round with the organization.

While there will likely be some outside the organization who will look at this and blame general manager Mike Borgonzi for moving on from Sneed as a salary-cap move, especially after watching the preseason, where the new cornerbacks struggled. But Borgonzi had no choice but to move on after two unproductive seasons. Sneed was not only plagued by injury, but his attitude and off-field concerns also did not seem to be a match for what the Titans are trying to build, culture-wise.
Sneed may indeed return to form with Reid and the Chiefs, and if he does, good for him. But he had worn out his welcome in Tennessee, and that trade will go down as one of the worst in the Titans’ history.
