The Tennessee Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday and welcomed back a familiar face: Dorian Mausi. The Titans designated the linebacker to return from injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window.
No corresponding move was required to open this three-week practice period, and none will be needed unless/until he is activated from injured reserve. Tennessee placed Mausi on injured reserve with a foot/ankle injury at the end of training camp when the roster had to be cut down to 53.
After a push from John “Bones” Fassel, the Titans claimed Mausi off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings after final roster cuts in 2025, and he became a standout special teamer during his rookie season, finishing with nine total tackles.
If the Titans
follow the same process with Mausi as they did with cornerback Joshua Williams, he likely won't return this week and will have to wait until Week 8 to potentially make his 2026 debut. When he returns, he could boost the surging special teams units, which came off their best game in Week 6.
Mausi was on the field and fully participated in practice on Wednesday.
