The Orlando Magic (1-3) wrap up a three-game road trip on Friday against the Toronto Raptors (3-1) in their first NBA Cup matchup, and if you want to catch the action live, you’re in the right place.
The Raptors defeated the Magic 129-99 in the first game of a back-to-back set in Toronto on Wednesday. The Magic held an early nine-point lead, but the Raptors rebounded and would lead the rest of the way after shooting 50% from the field.
Scottie Barnes finished with 28 points and six rebounds to lead the Raptors without Kawhi Leonard (knee), while RJ Barrett scored 25 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Immanuel Quickley added 16 points. Barrett has now scored at least 20 points in each game to start the season.
Playing without starters Paolo
Banchero (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (knee), Tristan da Silva led the Magic with 20 points, Franz Wagner tallied 15 points and Desmond Bane added 13 points. Da Silva registered his ninth career 20-point game with the performance.
The contest on Friday tips off the NBA Cup for each team as part of the action in East Group A, which also includes Brooklyn, Detroit and Milwaukee. Last year, the Raptors clinched a spot in the knockout round while the Magic advanced to the semifinals.
The Magic and Raptors are meeting for the second of four regular-season matchups. Toronto won the series last year 2-1 and has won six of the last seven games overall.
