Larry Johnson was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets' first and only No. 1 overall pick in their franchise history (to this point). Johnson wore No. 2 for the franchise and was also the first player in team history to win the NBA's Rookie of the Year Award, doing so while averaging 19.2 points, 11 rebounds, 3.6 assists, one steal and 0.6 blocks. During his second season, the power forward would lead the league in minutes played per game (40.5) and would make his first All-Star team, averaging 22.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks.Johnson spent five of his 10 NBA seasons with the Hornets, ending his tenure with averages of 19.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4
blocks. The former UNLV standout would play for the New York Knicks for the rest of his career after being traded for Anthony Mason and Brad Lohaus. Although he wasn't as dominant in New York, Johnson finished a stellar 10-year career with a Rookie of the Year Award, two All-Star appearances and one All-NBA Second Team selection.
