Ahead of the 1998-99 season, the Charlotte Hornets signed undrafted point guard Eldridge Recasner after an impressive campaign with the Atlanta Hawks. For Atlanta, Recasner averaged 9.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, two assists and 0.7 steals during the 1997-98 season. Recasner, who didn't make his NBA debut until his age 27 season, spent parts of four years with the Hornets and played eight years total.
In 95 games with Charlotte, Recasner averaged 3.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.2 steals. After his stint with the Hornets, he'd play five games for the Los Angeles Clippers in his final NBA season, the 2001-02 campaign.
