Nate Ament has worn No. 10 for much of his career, but the former Tennessee forward was forced to choose a new number upon joining the Milwaukee Bucks as the 13th pick.
Ament has worn No. 10 in high school and college as a nod to his faith, because it is part of his favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 41:10. He prays before each game and has said that particular verse helps calm his nerves and ease any pregame anxiety.
The 6-foot-10 Ament will need to pivot away from No. 10 because it was retired by the franchise to honor Bob Dandridge, who played the first nine years of his Hall of Fame career in Milwaukee. He ultimately landed at No. 15, which was last worn by Liam Robbins in 2025.

Ament was selected
to the All-SEC second team last season, averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and one steal while shooting 33.3% from 3-point range. He ranked 14th in the country in free throws with 196, the third-most in a season in program history.
The 19-year-old debuted with the Bucks in summer league, averaging 11.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 38.9% from 3-point range in five games. He finished in double figures twice, including a 23-point effort on July 15.
Ament was drafted with the pick acquired from the Miami Heat in the trade involving two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, which was announced last month. The team was ecstatic to add him to the roster and is eager to see him take the court next season.
