The Charlotte Hornets hosted the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday night for their second preseason game of the 2026-27 season. After suffering a lopsided defeat to the Brooklyn Nets, the Hornets had renewed strength in the form of Brandon Miller, who returned to the starting lineup after a shin injury kept him out of Charlotte's first contest. Unfortunately for the Hornets, Kon Knueppel, Grant Williams, Coby White, Christian Anderson Jr. and Grayson Allen were sidelined.
As expected, it was Miller who would lead the way, scoring 13 first-half points on 3-for-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Off the bench, Sion James impressed once more, adding nine points on an efficient 3-for-4 from long range.
After outscoring the Bucks 31-19 in the second quarter, the Hornets
slowed down in the second half but still held on to a comfortable lead throughout, ultimately earning a 105-90 victory.
Brandon Miller finished with 18 points, four assists and three rebounds on 6-for-15 shooting, matching Milwaukee's leading scorer, Tyler Herro, who also scored 18. Naz Reid added 16 points, two rebounds and one assist and zero turnovers. Lastly, Moussa Diabate neared a double-double with eight points, 11 rebounds, one steal and two blocks. Overall, it was a great passing night for the Hornets, who racked up 29 assists on 39 made field goals.
Having finished both of their preseason games at the Spectrum Center, Charlotte will be on the road for their next two contests against the Celtics and the Grizzlies.
