Ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, sports media outlet Bleacher Report has released a plethora of rankings. Wednesday, the site revealed their list of the top-30 shooters in the league. Despite leading the league in 3-pointers made per game last season, only one current Hornets player was named; however, he did rank near the top.
That player was, of course, second-year forward Kon Knueppel, who ranked No. 3 after posting the greatest shooting season as a rookie in NBA history. The Duke alum led the league in 3-pointers made, which had never been done before. He also set a new rookie record for made 3-pointers in a season. All the while, the Milwaukee native was flirting with 50/40/90 efficiency. Although some of those numbers tailed off toward
the end of the year, Knueppel finished the season shooting 47.5% from the field, 42.5% from 3-point range and 86.3% from the free-throw line.
Only future Hall of Famers Kevin Durant (Houston Rockets) and Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) placed higher on the list than Knueppel.
