In a massive three-team trade back in 2001, the Charlotte Hornets acquired Frenchman Jerome Moiso from the Philadelphia 76ers in a deal that was headlined by former No. 1 overall pick Derrick Coleman. Following the deal, Moiso's tenure with Chalrotte lasted just 15 games during the 2001-02 season, before the team relocated to New Orleans ahead of the 2002-03 season. In those games, the former No. 11 overall pick averaged 1.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.2 steals. The former UCLA Bruins center would go on to play 145 games in the NBA over five seasons and posted career averages of 2.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.5 blocks.
