After a week of training camp, the Charlotte Hornets are set to begin preseason action ahead of a strenuous 82-game season. Last year, the Hornets exceeded all expectations, improving their record by 25 wins and finishing 44-38, ninth in the Eastern Conference. Prior to their season opener (Oct. 21), the Hornets have a four-game preseason slate beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6, against the Brooklyn Nets.
Unfortunately for Charlotte, they'll be without three key contributors: Kon Knueppel, Grant Williams and Coby White, who recently sustained a left calf strain.
