The Charlotte Hornets took care of business Sunday night, earning their first preseason victory of the 2026-27 campaign after dropping their opener to the Brooklyn Nets. In his return from injury, Brandon Miller was the focal point, scoring 18 points, including 13 in the first half. Miller's 18 points led Charlotte, rivalling Tyler Herro of the Milwaukee Bucks, who also turned in 18.
For the second consecutive game, Naz Reid scored double-digits, finishing the night with 16 points on 50% shooting from the field. Aside from Reid and Miller, it was Moussa Diabate who got the job done on the glass, finishing with eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Off the bench, Sion James impressed once more, finishing with 11 points on 3-for-4
shooting from downtown to go along with five rebounds and four assists.
