Following an unbelievable championship run last season, the New York Knicks have yet to fill out their 15-man roster ahead of training camp. After replacing Mitchell Robinson with veteran center Andre Drummond, New York has two standard spots remaining and all three two-way contract slots open.
However, a couple of potential free agent targets have emerged ahead of the 2026-27 season. According to SNY, veterans John Konchar and Drew Eubanks are "on New York's radar."
Beginning with Konchar, the seven-year NBA veteran recently became available after being waived by the Jazz, a move Utah made after acquiring Josh Green from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Most well-known for his time with the Memphis Grizzlies, Konchar has career averages of 4.3 points,
four rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.4 blocks in 17.6 minutes per game.
As for Eubanks, he'd provide more frontcourt depth as a reserve after Ariel Hukporti departed in free agency. Eubanks has played for six different teams in eight seasons, with San Antonio serving as his longest stop. In 426 career games, Eubanks holds averages of 5.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.8 blocks. Considering Nick Richards recently signed with the Miami Heat, the free agent market for centers is considerably thin.
