The Charlotte Hornets
had a productive training camp at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, working together as a unit ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season. Considering the Hornets made plenty of offseason additions, including Naz Reid, Grayson Allen, Dennis Schroder, Royce O'Neale, Hannes Steinbach and Christian Anderson Jr., Charlotte was eager to build more chemistry ahead of a taxing 82-game regular season. The Hornets will begin a four-game preseason Tuesday Oct. 6 at the Spectrum Center against the Brooklyn Nets. That said, who will start for Charlotte in their preseason opener? While lineups have yet to be revealed, a video posted of the Hornets' scrimmages may have given away the answer.
During a scrimmage between what appeared to be the
first and second units, Coby White, Grayson Allen, Brandon Miller, Naz Reid and Moussa Diabate were pinned against Dennis Schroder, Sion James, Liam McNeeley, Royce O'Neale and Ryan Kalkbrenner, likely giving Hornets fans a first look at an unofficial depth chart.
With Kon Knueppel sidelined for the preseason, based on this scrimmage, a starting lineup of Coby White, Grayson Allen, Brandon Miller, Naz Reid and Moussa Diabate seems to be the most likely for Tuesday's preseason opener.
