According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Denver Nuggets have signed former Dallas Mavericks point guard Ryan Nembhard to a two-way contract. Nembhard, who is entering his sophomore season, will finally find a home after being traded from the Mavericks to the Hawks and then from the Hawks to the Hornets before being waived. During his rookie season, Nembhard worked his way up from a two-way deal to a standard contract, averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 0.4 steals while shooting 41.5% from the field and 35.6% from 3-point range.
To complete the move, the Nuggets are waiving former Charlotte Hornets point guard KJ Simpson, who had finished the 2025-26 season on a two-way contract with Denver. In 56 appearances over two seasons,
the former Colorado point guard holds averages of 6.7 points, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals.
