On Sunday, the Orlando Magic (0-2) begin a three-game road trip against the New York Knicks (0-2), and if you want to catch the action live, you’re in the right place.
The Magic dropped their second game of the season on Friday, falling 115-93 to the Minnesota Timberwolves
at the Kia Center. They never led and trailed by as many as 26 points in the second half after taking 14 fewer shots than the Timberwolves.Wendell Carter Jr. led the Magic with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Franz Wagner scored 18 points and Paolo Banchero added 14. Carter has now scored at least 20 points in consecutive games for just the fourth time in his career.
Banchero left the game early after he appeared to roll his right ankle while going for a rebound. The team
announced Saturday that an MRI confirmed Banchero suffered a low-grade high ankle sprain and his status will be updated as appropriate.
While Banchero is expected to be sidelined for the foreseeable future, the team could get Anthony Black back in the lineup. His status was upgraded to questionable on the injury report after missing the preseason and the first two games with a right ankle sprain.
The Magic and Knicks are meeting for the first of three regular-season matchups. The two teams split the season series 2-2 last year, though Orlando has won seven of the last 13 games overall.
