Rookie Caleb Wilson finished in double figures for a third straight game on Sunday, helping the Chicago Bulls in a narrow loss on the road to the Denver Nuggets.
Wilson produced 17 points, five assists, four rebounds and one blocked shot in the 133-128 defeat at Ball Arena. Earning the start, he went 6-for-10 from the field, including 1-for-4 from 3-point range, in 25 minutes, 20 seconds of action.
The fourth overall pick got downhill often, converting several dazzling finishes at the rim. He put together a nice third-quarter sequence, going around Aaron Gordon to throw down a two-handed jam.

Wilson is now averaging 17.7
points, four rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 44.2% from the field in the preseason. He currently leads the Bulls in scoring this preseason, putting up at least 15 points in each of his three appearances.
The 6-foot-10 Wilson was highly touted entering the draft because of his versatility, athleticism and physical traits, boasting a 7-foot, 1/4-inch wingspan. He has showcased each of those traits early and appears to be adjusting well to the Bulls' system.
Chicago was ecstatic to add Wilson to its roster, next to the likes of Matas Buzelis, Patrick Williams, Noa Essengue and Josh Giddey. The group is eager to see him take the court and showcase his potential when the regular season tips off next week.
