It's official: the Charlotte Hornets will have Kon Knueppel back for Wednesday night's contest against the Brooklyn Nets, their ninth game of the season. Knueppel, who had been sidelined with a hamstring injury, was upgraded to probable Tuesday. As of Wednesday, NBA insider Marc Stein confirmed that the former Duke guard will play against Brooklyn.
If Coby White, who was also listed as probable, plays, it'll mark the first time that head coach Charles Lee has had his entire starting five healthy to begin the 2026-27 season. The return of Knueppel and White could not have come at a better time for the Hornets, who have struggled offensively in contrast to their incredible success a season ago. Early in the season, Charlotte ranks No. 1 in turnovers
per game and dead last in points per game. As a rookie last season, Knueppel averaged 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 42.5% from 3-point range.
