Toward the end of his NBA career, former Washington point guard Isaiah Thomas spent the 2021-2022 NBA season on three different teams, the Charlotte Hornets being one. Thomas, a two-time All-Star had a tremendous career as a 5'9" point guard, finishing fifth in MVP voting with the Boston Celtics during the 2016-17 season. Thomas, better known as the "King of the Fourth Quarter," led the league in fourth-quarter scoring that season, averaging 9.89 points during the final frame.
In his 17 games with the Hornets, Thomas was a spark off the bench, averaging 8.3 points, 1.4 assists, 1.2 rebounds and 0.4 steals in 12.9 minutes per game. He'd play six more games with the Phoenix Suns during the 2023-24 season before ending his career. In 556 games over
12 seasons, Thomas averaged 17.5 points, 4.8 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals.
