The Charlotte Hornets tip off their 2026-27 season Wednesday, on the road against the Brooklyn Nets. For that matchup, the Hornets will hope to have Coby White and Kon Knueppel back from injury, both of whom missed the entire preseason due to injury. White is currently sidelined with a calf strain, while Knueppel is dealing with a hamstring strain. Following practice Sunday, Hornets head coach Charles Lee addressed their status, providing a small update prior to Wednesday's game.
"There's still no timeline on those guys. They're making really good progress. Day by day, they've stepped up what they've been able to do on the court, adding some level of contact to their workouts as well."
If unable to suit up in Brooklyn against the Nets, Knueppel
and White may have the potential to return Friday against the Atlanta Hawks or Saturday against the Miami Heat on the second night of a home back-to-back.
