Former No. 10 overall pick Spencer Hawes was the third player in Charlotte Hornets franchise history to wear the No. 00. Hawes played 10 seasons in the NBA, spending a season and a half with the Hornets near the end of his career. In 92 games for the Hornets, Hawes averaged 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.6 blocks.
He was eventually sent to the Milwaukee Bucks along with Roy Hibbert in exchange for Miles Plumlee at the 2017 trade deadline. Hawes' strongest season came during the 2013-14 campaign, where he averaged 13.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, three assists, 0.6 steals and 1.2 blocks in 80 games between the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Following his time in the NBA, Hawes spent two seasons playing in the BIG3
for the Boston Ball Hogs.
