Prior to his 19th NBA season, Kevin Durant received quite the recognition from sports media outlet Bleacher Report. Although he fell outside of their top-10 rankings ahead of the 2026-27 season, he did rank among the best in one particular category.
In a recent list, Bleacher Report named Durant as the NBA's second-best shooter. As many may have guessed, Durant trailed only his former teammate, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry. Durant has shot 40% or better from 3-point range in nine of his 18 seasons to this point. He also holds a career field goal percentage of 50.3% and a free-throw percentage of 88.2%.
Add into the equation the volume at which he shoots (5.1 3-point attempts per game and 13.6 2-point attempts per game) and the pressure
he faces, Durant is in rare territory. His strongest shooting season came with the Phoenix Suns during the 2024-25 campaign, where the former No. 2 overall pick shot 52.7% from the field and 43% from 3-point range.
