What is the story about?
Former Rockets point guard JD Davison has agreed to a contract
with the Orlando Magic after being waived by Houston in August. According to a press release by Orlando, the terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. A former No. 53 overall selection in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Alabama, Davison latched on with the Rockets last season after being waived by the Boston Celtics, where he spent the first three seasons of his career.Unfortunately for Davison, his tenure with Houston was rather forgettable, averaging 2.5 points, 1.3 assists, 1.2 rebounds and 0.2 steals in just 7.8 minutes per game. In 28 games, Davison shot 37.5% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc. Now with the Magic, Davison will hope to find his footing as a rotation player
in the NBA after making only 64 appearances in his first four NBA seasons.
