Thus far, the Houston Rockets have received positive reviews after inking former No. 4 overall pick Amen Thompson to a five-year $208 million extension Thursday morning. Thompson's new deal rewards his positive play throughout the first three seasons of his career while also giving Houston flexibility moving forward.

Following the agreement, Zach Kram of ESPN revealed his grade, giving the Rockets an A-. Despite limits to Thompson's offensive game, Kram calls the deal a "win-win." At 23 years of age, Thompson still has plenty of room left to grow, especially when it comes to shooting. Averaging a career-high 18.5 points per game last season, despite a poor 3-point shooting percentage of 21.6%, Thompson could become one of the league's best two-way

talents if able to figure out his jumper.

If not, the Rockets will be content to have one of the league's strongest and most athletic defenders to play alongside Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun.
