The 2026-27 NBA season is right around the corner, and in preparation, HoopsHype is ranking the top-25 players at each position entering the year. While representatives of the Houston Rockets were ranked quite low at the point guard position, Kevin Durant was listed as one of the league's best small forwards.

Recently, Jabari Smith Jr. was listed near the middle of the road when it comes to power forwards, being ranked No. 16 in the NBA. In his fourth NBA season last year, the Auburn product averaged 15.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.9 blocks in 35.1 minutes per game while tying his career high (36.3%) from 3-point range. Smith Jr. was ranked right behind two incoming rookies (Caleb Wilson and Cameron Boozer), who came

in at No. 14 and No. 13. Scottie Barnes (Raptors), Jalen Johnson (Hawks) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Heat) made up the top three.
