Former Houston Rockets big man Montrezl Harrell recently sat down for an interview as he attempts to make an NBA comeback. Among the questions Harrell was asked, the Louisville product discussed his recent workout with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the G-League affiliate of the Rockets.
"Overall, I’m not going to lie, it was good, man. I was able to get down there, get a couple of rounds in, and the workout that I had post-practice with the coaching staff went really well."
Harrell, a former Sixth Man of the Year Award winner, hasn't played in the NBA since the 2022-23 season but has instead been playing in the BIG3, a 3-on-3 basketball league. That said, the 32-year-old's career is far from over. Harrell dominated in the BIG3 this season, breaking
the league record for most points scored in a game. In his eight years of NBA experience, the former No. 32 overall pick holds averages of 12.1 points, five rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks.
