A 10-year NBA veteran had high praise for Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson, complimenting his ability to move without the basketball, his finishing, and of course, his defense. That former player was Ryan Hollins, who spoke about Thompson on SiriusXM NBA Radio.
“Amen Thompson is a breath of fresh air. I wish I had five Amen Thompsons. Because that I know he's coachable, moldable and I know what he leaves on the floor when he's out there. Not to mention, he's a freak of nature," said Hollins.
Hollins, a 10-year veteran, played for nine different NBA franchises, with his longest stop being in Charlotte. While Hollins brings up great points about Thompson that many Rockets fans believe are true, supporters are eager to see Thompson improve on his jump
shooting because of the superstar potential he could reach.
Still only 23 years old, Thompson has time to get there. In his third NBA season last year, the former No. 4 overall pick averaged 18.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.6 blocks in 79 appearances. Thompson also finished second in the NBA in dunks.
