The Arizona Cardinals will face the Los Angeles Rams, but they do get a little bit of a break. Pass rusher Myles Garrett will not return this week.
Garrett, on injured reserve with a knee injury, was eligible to have his practice window opened this week. That didn't happen. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Tuesday that Garrett would not practice this week.
He could potentially in Week 7, but the Cardinals will miss him.
However, while Garrett won't play, the Cardinals will still have to face pass rusher Byron Young, who leads the Rams with 3.5 sacks through five games.
The Cardinals are playing without left tackle Paris Johnson, who is out for the season after tearing his biceps. Rookie seventh-round pick is the current starting left tackle,
and he had a rough first start against the Detroit Lions in Week 5.
Right tackle Elijah Wilkinson is passable on the other side, but he is far from dominant.
Young might still be a problem, but at least they don't have to face Garrett. Garrett has two career sacks in two games played against the Cardinals, both when he played for the Cleveland Browns.
The Cardinals and Rams play Sunday at SoFi Stadium at 4:05 p.m. ET (1:05 p.m. Arizona time), and the game will air on FOX.
