The Arizona Cardinals will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday in their season opener. While the two teams don't face each other often, there are some familiat faces for both teams.
There are two Chargers players who were Cardinals players previously one on Arizona's roster who used to play for the Chargers.
Chargers S Tony Jefferson
Jefferson has had such an interesting career. He entered the league in 2013 with the Cardinals as a rookie free agent. He played four seasons for the Cardinals. He is now in his third season with the Chargers after he was retired for a season. In 2025, he had a career-high four interceptions and seven pass breakups.
Chargers DT Dalvin Tomlinson
Tomlinson played for the Cardinals last season. He signed a two-year contract after he was cut by the Cleveland Browns. He played in all
17 games and had 26 tackles, a sack and a tipped pass. He was released in the offseason and signed with the Chargers.
Cardinals WR Simi Fehoko
Fehoko is in his second season with the Cardinals and played two years for the Chargers before that. His career-high in catches and yards (six for 106) came in 2024 with the Chargers, and he scored his only NFL touchdown in 2023 with the Chargers.
