The Arizona Cardinals have receiver Michael Wilson under contract through 2029. They got big production in the second half of last season, and that is a big reason why he got the $75 million extension. However, that isn't the only reason.
It isn't only the production. It is the process, too. It is the consistency.
Reporter James Palmer gave some insight as to the other things Wilson brings.
He shared on X/Twitter that the coaching staff "fell in love with Wilson very quickly" and that he "might be their favorite player."
"The juice he brings is unreal. He's 100 MPH all the time. He does everything the same off the line no matter his role in the play. He was always a big part of their future."
When the ball wasn't going his way, he never complained.
Now, in the Cardinals' new offensive scheme, if he is going to be used similarly to Puka Nacua with the LA Rams, the production could continue.
The coaches saw something in him early after drafting him. Former Cardinals QB Kyler Murray always believed that Wilson was capable of being a 1,000-yard receiver.
He is now going to be a round for a while, and surely the coaches couldn't be happier.
