The Arizona Cardinals start their 2026 regular season this week. They have selected new captains.
Head coach Mike LaFleur announced the team's 2026 captains, as voted on by the players.
Cardinals 2026 captains
The Cardinals have five captains — two on offense, two on defense and one on special teams.
- QB Jacoby Brissett
- C Hjalte Froholdt
- LB Mack Wilson
- S Budda Baker
- LS Casey Kreiter
It is the first time for Brissett as a captain. Froholdt is a captain for the second straight year. It is the second straight year for Wilson, too. Baker has been a captain for seven straight seasons, while Kreiter is a captain in his first year with the team.
"Whether you're a captain or not a captain you be who you are within your own personality," LaFleur told reporters. "However, when you do get voted captain obviously, that's kind of saying that the locker room looks
up to you. I can't think of five better people to look up to in terms of just guys that are going to keep it real with each other, hold people to standards and communicate with me."
