The Arizona Cardinals announced a pair of roster moves for the active roster to address the defensive backfield. They placed safety Kitan Crawford on injured reserve with an ankle injury, as was reported earlier.
Their corresponding move for the roster was signing cornerback Kalen King to the active roster from the practice squad.
Crawford will now be out at least four games, and the earliest he could return is in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Mike LaFleur indicated that they would reevaluate the ankle in a month, so it could take longer.
He had a tackle on defense in seven snaps and two combined special teams tackles.
King becomes the sixth cornerback on the roster. He was elevated from the practice squad in Week 1 for the season
opener. He played five defensive snaps and nine on special teams. King plays in the slot, and while Garrett Williams recovers from his Achilles injury and ramps up to be able to play, King will be the backup nickel corner behind Denzel Burke.
The Cardinals also made some practice squad moves. They cut receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette and signed cornerback Art Green and safety Jerrick Reed II.
