What is the story about?
The
Arizona Cardinals hit the practice field in Tempe on Monday to get ready for their final preseason game, coming on Friday on the road against the Green Bay Packers. They have a few injuries to know about, and head coach Mike LaFleur gave some updates.
- Running back Jeremiyah Love, who has a high ankle sprain, will not be doing any on-field work this week. He is "doing well, progressing well and kind of in the next phase of it."
- Quarterback Carson Beck, dealing with a rib injury, didn't practice on Monday. "There is a chance" he could play in the preseason finale.
- Safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson, who injured his ribs on Saturday, is day-to-day.
- Punter Blake Gillikin suffered a groin injury pregame on Saturday and didn't punt in the game. "He's good," LaFleur said. He isn't concerned about any long-term injury, but he won't punt this week. We will see if they sign a punter on Tuesday or whether kicker Chad Ryland handles punting duties on Friday.
