After the Arizona Cardinals made their moves on Sunday to trim their roster to 53 players, they had high priority on the waiver wire. Only the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets had higher priority.
However, after the waiver period, the Cardinals were awarded no players. A total of 29 went claimed and landed with new teams. The Miami Dolphins were awarded the most with seven waiver claim additions.
The Raiders and Jets were awarded a total of three players combined. The Raiders claimed cornerback Darrell Luter, while the Jets claimed kicker Blake Grupe and linebacker Trevin Wallace. It is possible that the Cardinals placed a waiver claim on any of those players but were trumped by the Raiders' or Jets' claims.
Otherwise, they were simply uninterested
in basically all the player cuts from over the weekend.
They did not add any pass rushers, any running backs or any offensive linemen.
They made no other moves to their 53-man roster on Monday.
They had one player — linebacker Owen Pappoe — get claimed off waivers by the Tennessee Titans.
