The Arizona Cardinals will not face the Philadelphia Eagles until Week 13 this season, but there is some Eagles news to take note of. The Philadelphia offensive line will look quite different from what was expected, and it isn't because of injuries. There were two surprise moves.
The Eagles will have two new starters because of decisions in the last week.
Longtime right tackle Lane Johnson decided midseason to retire from the NFL. He played in three games this season. He concludes his 14-year career with six Pro Bowl selections, two first-team All-Pro selections and four second-team selections.
Replacing Johnson at right tackle in the starting lineup is now third-round rookie Markel Bell. He started in Week 4 in the Eagles' 24-20 loss to the LA
Rams.
The other surprising move was a trade. They sent Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens for fifth- and seventh-round picks in 2027 and a 2028 second-round pick.
Jurgens is a two-time Pro Bowler at center but was playing left guard this season since Landon Dickerson was placed on injured reserve. Drew Kendall has been playing at center. Now it appears that Willie Lampkin will now start at left guard right now. Lampkin was an undrafted rookie in 2025 who didn't play last year.
Now, Lampkin might be back on the bench by Week 13 as Dickerson has a bone bruise in his knee, so he could be good to go when the Cardinals play the Eagles, but that Eagles offensive line will not have Johnson or Jurgens, two stalwarts on that Philly offensive line.
