The Arizona Cardinals play the New York Giants on Sunday at MetLife Stadium and are favored to win that game. It is a tough game to predict. The Cardinals are 1-2 and have looked both bad and promising in their last two weeks. The Giants are 2-1 but haven't scored a touchdown in two games, and they lost their starting quarterback and top pass rusher to season-ending knee injuries.
While the betting public favors the Cardinals to win, what are some experts saying?
We have dueling predictions from me and Giants Wire lead writer Dan Benton.
What are we predicting?
Jess Root, Cards Wire
I am very wary of this game, but I think it will be a slow, sloggy game. I say the Cardinals win on a late field goal. Cardinals 16, Giants 13.
Dan Benton, Giants Wire
This may not be an ideal matchup for the Giants,
especially given their recent rash of injuries, but I expect them to mold into some moderately functioning offense this week. That will obviously work to their advantage, especially considering Arizona's defense -- particularly against the run -- is lacking. If the Giants can run the ball, control the clock, and avoid turnovers, they will pull off the upset. Giants 23, Cardinals 21.
