What is the story about?
The
Arizona Cardinals have made their moves to cut the roster down to 53 players, and they did it largely without surprises. They cut 34 players, waived one with an injury designation, placed on player on the PUP reserve and another two on injured reserve with a designation to return.

Injury moves
- Running back James Conner and defensive lineman Zach Carter were placed on injured reserve with a designation to return. They must miss at least the first four games of the season and can have their 21-day practice window opened as early as Week 3.
- Tight end Tip Reiman was moved from the active PUP list to the PUP reserve. He can come back the same way Carter and Conner can.
- Safety Josh Minkins was waived with an injury designation. He will revert to injured reserve and be out for the season if he clears waivers.
