The NFC West looks a little odd after Week 1. All but one team one, but the team at the bottom is the one team favored to win the conference and the league's favorite to win the Super Bowl.
The Los Angeles Rams are winless after one game, while the rest of the division is 1-0.
Here are the current NFC West standings after Week 1.
- San Francisco 49ers, 1-0 (1-0 division)
- Arizona Cardinals, 1-0
- Seattle Seahawks , 1-0
- Los Angeles Rams, 0-1 (0-1 division)
The 49ers get the top spot because their win was a division win. The Cardinals have the edge over Seattle, thanks to a greater point differential. The Rams, well, they are 0-1.
What happened in Week 1?
The Seahawks opened the week on Wednesday beating the New England Patriots 13-10. They lost quarterback Sam Darnold to a hip injury, and Drew Lock rallied them from down 10-0 for the win.
The 49ers beat the Rams 27-7 in Melbourne, Australia, last
Thursday. They dominated from start to finish. Brock Purdy threw three touchdown passes. Rams QB Matthew Stafford, the reigning league MVP, did not have a touchdown pass and threw an interception. Myles Garrett is out for the next four weeks, at least.
The Cardinals shocked the league beating the LA Chargers on the road 26-14 when they were the league's biggest underdogs of the week. QB Jacoby Brissett passed for 277 yards and a touchdown, and the defense had two takeaways.
Week 2 schedule
The Cardinals and Seahawks battle in Week 2 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday afternoon.
The 49ers will host the 0-1 Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon, while the Rams play at home on Monday night against the 1-0 New York Giants.
