The Arizona Cardinals are a week into training camp and we are able to note who is practicing with which units — the starters, the backups or the deep backups. The Cardinals' first two draft picks, running back Jeremiyah Love and guard Chase Bisontis, have been getting consistent second-team snaps and some with the first team.
However, the rest of the rookies have been further down the depth chart, except for one, and it might surprise you.
According to AZCentral Sports' Theo Mackie, tackle Jayden Williams, their seventh-round pick, has consistently been working with the second-team offense, suggesting he might have a real shot at making the 53-man roster.
With Paris Johnson and Elijah Wilkinson the two starting tackles, Josh Fryar and Williams
have been on the second-team offense. It is early in camp, but Williams is ahead of other tackles on the roster like Christian Jones, Oli Udah and Demontrey Jacobs.
That will be a battle to watch once preseason games start.
