The Arizona Cardinals open the season on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. There are some key matchups to watch in the game.

Chargers EDGE Khalil Mack vs. Cardinals RT Elijah Wilkinson
Wilkinson makes his first start for the Cardinals as their new right tackle. Mack is one of the best pass rushers of this generation, even at age 35. He had 5.5 sacks in 12 games last season. The right side of the offensive line is the Cardinals' perceived weak spot currently.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride vs. Chargers S Derwin James/LB Daiyan Henley
McBride was second in the NFL in receptions last season and should have a big role in the offense again, but the Chargers have great guys to cover him. James is a playmaker and Henley is one of the better coverage linebackers in the league.
Cardinals DT Walter Nolen vs. Chargers G Kayode Awosika
The Chargers have questions on the interior offensive
line after center Tyler Biadasz injured his knee. Rookie Jake Slaughter, originally slated to play left guard, moves to center, bringing Awosika to the starting lineup. Nolen is the Cardinals' best interior rusher and has been a difference-maker when healthy. If he is disruptive, the Cardinals have a chance to slow the LA offense.
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey vs. Cardinals CB Denzel Burke
McConkey should be a volume pass catcher this year again like his rookie season and will play a lot in the slot. While Garrett Williams recovers from his Achilles injury, Burke is expected to be the primary slot corner, but we didn't see him play inside in training camp or the preseason.
