The Arizona Cardinals released their first inactivelist of the season 90 minutes they kicked off against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1. As expected, rookie running back Jeremiyah Love was active. He was listed officially as questionable on the team's final injury report, but he was expected to play, and with no running back elevated to the active roster from the practice squad, it was known on Saturday that Love would play.
So who was inactive for the Cardinals?

- CB Garrett Williams
- S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
- OL Isaiah Adams
- WR Reggie Virgil
- DL Andrew Billings
Beck was designated as the emergency third quarterback, which means he dressed for the game but could not play unless both Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew got injured. This is the first time since the emergency third QB became a thing again in the NFL that the Cardinals have had
one on game days.
Williams, Taylor-Demerson and Adams were all ruled out with injuries. Virgil will have to wait to make his NFL debut, as the Cardinals went with six active receivers.
Billings being inactive means the Cardinals only have five active defensive tackles. They apparently anticipated playing a lot of nickel defense with only two defensive tackles on the field.
