The Seattle Seahawks opened their practice week Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s home opener against the Arizona Cardinals and released their first injury report of the week.
Quarterback Sam Darnold, who suffered a glute injury during the first possession of the team’s season opener against the New England Patriots, was declared out by head coach Mike Macdonald on Wednesday. Drew Lock will start

Macdonald said Wednesday, "We don't anticipate putting him on IR or anything like that, but we'll just kind of reevaluate every day, reevaluate next week, and we'll go from there.” The head coached added, "He's killing
it on his rehab, he's doing a great job. He's doing a lot right now; he's just not going to be able to play this week."
Okada was inactive in Week 1 and although he didn’t practice Wednesday, Macdonald said he "has a chance to play this week.”
