The Arizona Cardinals opened their practice week Wednesday for Sunday’s home opener against the Seattle Seahawks and released their first injury report of the week.
Safety and special-teams standout Kitan Crawford was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with an ankle injury suffered on the blocked punt by Simi Fehoko in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. Head coach Mike LaFleur described it as a “short-term” injury and added that he will be re-evaluated after four games. Dr. David Chao (@profootballdoc) told Cards Wire after video review that the injury is a right eversion sprain with involvement of the deltoid ligament.
Running back Jeremiyah Love, who was limited all last week because of an ankle injury, is not on the report.
