The calendar has changed to November, and that means the NFL season is about half over. The Arizona Cardinals are 3-5 and not completely out of the playoff picture.
It is the time when we can start looking at conference standings and keep an eye on the playoff race.
If the season ended today, only one team in the NFC West would make the postseason. The entire NFC North would be in the playoffs. Let's have a look at the NFC playoff picture after Week 8.
NFC playoff picture in Week 9
- San Francisco 49ers, 6-1
- Minnesota Vikings, 6-1
- New York Giants, 4-2-1
- Carolina Panthers, 3-4
- Chicago Bears, 6-2
- Detroit Lions, 5-2
- Green Bay Packers, 5-3
In the mix:
- Seattle Seahawks, 4-4
- LA Rams, 4-4
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 3-5
- Atlanta Falcons, 3-5
- Arizona Cardinals, 3-5
- Dallas Cowboys, 3-5
The Cardinals are, surprisingly, only two games out of the playoff picture.
