The Arizona Cardinals will face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Week 3 as their next opponent. The Niners are 2-0. They have one of the top offenses and defenses in the league so far.
They also have the reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Quarterback Brock Purdy earned those honors after his performance in the Niners' 35-13 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Purdy was 20-for-22 passing for 287 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown. He had a passer rating of 149.1.
It is the third time he has won Offensive Player of the Week.
He has been tough against the Cardinals.
In six career starts against Arizona, he is 5-1 with 12 touchdown passes and two interceptions. he has also rushed for a touchdown.
Through two games,
Purdy has thrown five touchdown passes, one interception and has rushed for a score, accounting for three touchdowns in both games this season.
The Cardinals and 49ers kick off Sunday at Levi's Stadium at 4:05 p.m. ET (1:05 p.m. Arizona time).
