The NFC West is arguably the league's best division. They have three top teams in the conference, and they have the (hopefully) improving Arizona Cardinals. It is also a really good division for tight ends. In PFF's new tight end rankings, all four No. 1 tight ends in the division are in the top half of the rankings and have the two top guys in the league.
Where do San Francisco's George Kittle, Arizona's Trey McBride, Seattle's AJ Barner and LA's Colby Parkinson rank?
NFC West TEs lead the way
Kittle is No. 1, just beating out McBride.
Kittle has been the most valuable tight end over the last three years, and he had the highest PFF rating in 2026 at the position. He is an elite pass catcher and elite blocker.
McBride comes in at No. 2, and he is the most valuable tight
end over the last two years. He set a record with 126 catches last season, the most ever by a tight end, and he was second in the league in catches, behind only Puka Nacua.
Parkinson comes in at No. 15, grading out with the ninth-best overall PFF rating at the position.
Parkinson was a weapon after the catch, averaging 6.4 yards after the catch per reception (sixth). His 30 positively-graded plays as a run-blocker were sixth at the position as well.
Barner is right behind Parkinson at No. 16.
Barner was a dominant run-blocker while at Michigan, but has turned into a very solid receiving threat with the Seahawks as well. His six touchdown receptions were tied for eighth among all tight ends in 2025. Barner also caught a touchdown in Seattle’s Super Bowl victory over the Patriots. He’s still been a force in the run game as well, placing fourth among all tight ends in positively-graded plays as a run-blocker (35).
