Every team has played one game this season so far, and we have our first statistical leaders. There were some big numbers put up in the passing game in Week 1, and some big numbers by running backs, too.
Let's have a look at the league leaders in passing yards, receiving yards and rushing yards, as well as what connections they have with the Arizona Cardinals this season.
Passing leaders
Of the top five quarterbacks in Week 1, the Cardinals will only face Shough, who leads the NFL right now. The Cardinals play the New Orleans Saints in Week 16 on the road.
Jaocby Brissett passed for 277 yards on Sunday for the Cardinals.
Receiving yards leaders
Of the top five, the Cardinals will only face Olave this season. Cardinals tight end Trey McBride had 95 receiving yards in Week 1.
Rushing yards leaders
The top five
is actually six players, as Breece Hall and Ashton Jeanty tied for the fifth-most rushing yards. The Cardinals will actually face four of the six. They take on Ken Walker and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. They face Jahmyr Gibbs and the Detroit Lions in Week 5. Breece Hall and the New York Jets are in Week 15, while Jeanty and the Las Vegas Raiders are in Week 17.
Tyler Allgeier led the Cardinals with 61 rushing yards in Week 1.
