The Arizona Cardinals released their Week 2 depth chart on Tuesday as they get ready to host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in Week 2. You can see the full depth chart here.
There were no changes over last week, as the roster had not changed. It will change next week, as safety Kitan Crawford landed on injured reserve and cornerback Kalen King was signed to the active roster.
Now, while there were no changes to the depth chart, some things on the depth chart weren't necessarily what we saw in action in Week 1.
Tight ends
While Elijah Higgins is listed as the No. 2 tight end on the depth chart behind Trey McBride, it was Hunter Long who played more snaps. Long played 26 snaps in Week 1 over Higgins' 20. But Long has the role as the main blocking tight end,
and Higgins is used in movement, lining up sometimes in the backfield as well. He is more of an H-back with his smaller frame.
Outside linebackers
Zaven Collins and Baron Browning are both listed with an "or" between them for the first-string job opposite Josh Sweat. They played an equal number of snaps on Sunday, but it was Browning who started.
Inside linebacker
Jack Gibbens is listed as the starter alongside Mack Wilson. He and Cody Simon battled for the starting job. Head coach Mike LaFleur suggested during training camp that perhaps both would rotate. Gibbens appears to be the clear No. 1, as he played every defensive snap on Sunday.
Kick returners
Behind Devin Duvernay, cornerback Max Melton and running back Jeremiyah Love are listed as the kickoff returners. Neither was used in tha role. It was receiver Jalen Brooks who was the second deep returner on kickoffs with Duvernay. This makes sense. Neither Melton nor Love have experience in that role. Brooks does.
